The Villa Vannucci Estate Vineyard is located off of Chalk Hill Road nestled in Alexander Valley in northern Sonoma County. It is 75 miles north of San Francisco and a short 20 minute drive from the heart of Healdsburg’s charming town square.
Our winemaker, Scott Petersen, is a seasoned winemaker with 25 years of experience working in California, South America and Europe. He graduated with a degree in Fermentation Science from the University of California, Davis and has been a winemaker at Villa Mt. Eden, Conn Creek, and Kendell-Jackson wineries. “I have traveled and made wines all over the world and I am fortunate that my home is close to the well-known Napa Valley and more importantly in the heart of Sonoma, the long hidden wonder and my very favorite place to make wines,” said Petersen.
Sonoma County’s Villa Vannucci Estate Vineyard is a small lot treasure and is sustainably farmed delivering a splendid sequence of intense fruit flavors and specializing in Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2006 the Heffernan family planted a small vineyard and manufactured their first wine in 2009. Since then, they have produced a collection of Cabernet’s in 2010, 2012, and most recently 2013. The superbly bold-yet-balanced Cabernet Sauvignon captures the heart and soul of the Alexander Valley.
